Review of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Last night, I had the honor of going to see one of the greatest movies in history and that movie was Harry Potter and The Deathly HAllows Part 2. For the major Potter fans such as myself, it was a movie worth waiting for.

Ever since Hagrid first told Harry Potter “You’re a wizard Harry” 10 years ago, we knew this story was going to take us to worlds beyond our vision. When “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone” was announced in 2001, many people said that a story about a young wizard in our world would never go anywhere in the world of movies. From my view, they were wrong. 10 years of movies and the final one has set the record for premiere sales.

One of my favorite parts of movies is special effects. The crew did an AMAZING job bringing the magic to life, giving you the power to believe. So many people these days talk about how the movie doesn’t have anything real about it other then a few locations. This is because they do not believe in magic. Only those who truly have imagination will believe in the magic of this series.

The cast did an amazing job in this movie, bringing together new and old faces from the series. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson worked perfectly together as always as Harry, Ron and Hermione as they lead the team into the final battle to save Hogwarts. Ralph Fiennes (The Reader) did an awesome job playing “The Dark Lord”. Warwick Davis (Star Wars) did great playing two roles in the movie as Professor Flitwick and Griphook. He is one of my favorite actors of all time.

This movie wasn’t only about the action, it was about love and the power of friendship. Being a very serious movie doesn’t mean there are no laughs in it, 100 plus people sitting in the theater and not a single person missed a laugh during the movie.

MAKE SURE TO STAY UNTIL YOU AT LEAST SEE THE FIRST NAME IN THE CREDITS!

This movie ended with something, I rarely hear at theaters… a round of applause from every single person in the theater. In my mind, that makes a movie great.

I would like to say thank you to J.K. Rowling for bringing us the story of young wizard and his friends.

Thank you to Alexandre Desplat for the music which fit every scene perfectly.

Thank you to Warner Brothers Pictures and the director David Yates for bringing us Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
