Bullet to the Head Review

Sylvester Stallone returns to the big screen once again, this time as James Bonomo a New Orleans hitman in Bullet to the Head.

First I would like to give a high rating to the location of the film aka New Orleans, Louisiana. They worked in a lot of the features on the city even the street parades. You can also spot the Mercedes-Benz Superdome home of the New Orleans Saints and the 2013 Super Bowl XLVII.

Now on to the lack of story. The movie was okay, the script just lacked some detail. Such as the back story of Sarah Shahi's character Lisa, they talked about it for like a minute and then that was it. Then there was Keegan played by Conan the Barbarian star Jason Momoa. Keegan is the hitman that really is a villain. We don't why he does what he does, we just see him do it and guess along the way.

The action was okay but it too was lacking in parts, but I think that is mainly because they took too much time on the blood effects. I like special effects they are one of my favorite parts about movies, but in some cases there needs to be more then just the effects.  I also think there should be more hand to hand combat then there was.

The cast did well working with what script they had. I think the best script part was the laughs and jokes, we all know from the Expendables series that Stallone is full of jokes.  Sung Kang's Taylor Kwon worked along side James Bonomo as they travel across New Orleans, I think they worked well off each other. Even if this movie doesn't get a 2nd, I would like to see Kang and Stallone work together again in the future.

Over all it is okay, not the best. I think it will do good in theaters but I don't see it doing very well with store sales once it hits Blu-Ray and DVD. That my view on it, comment and let me know what you think about it. I would love to hear more from my viewers.
