The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Review

In 2012, I called Andrew Garfield the best Spider-Man ever. Now in 2014, I still stick to those words. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone return for the action packed film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I truly mean action packed, because there is more action in this single film then there was in all three of the original Spider-Man movies. One of my favorite parts is how they use the camera during the action scenes and during the Spider-Man swinging scenes. It is almost a mix of third and first person views, as he swings.

What I love about this series is that it gives you a full movie each time but it makes you want more and count down to the next film. What does this mean? This means it has a great cast and a fantastic writing team. The story of this film pulls you right into it, making you watch every piece for full detail. From Peter searching for answers about his parents to Harry coming back, they fit a whole lot into this film and don't short us on details in it. They even take the time to hint at things to come, so make sure to watch EVERYTHING.

Jamie Foxx is EPIC as the shocking and powerful ELECTRO and the not so powerful Max Dillon. The way he mixes these two characters is some true talent at work. I hope to see more of Jamie as Electro in the future, because he brings something awesome to the screen.

Dane DeHaan adds his own twist to the role of Harry Osborn. He really plays a character of many faces, is one of them green? What I find funny about this role is as you see by the trailers, Dane also plays the always evil Green Goblin, the funny part is they never once say the name Green Goblin. Not even once. Still Dane, somehow makes this even more evil and twisted then the movies or comics before this. He could be one of the best villains ever to be on the big screen.

There is a credits scene in this film, but it isn't for this film. You get a bonus X-Men Days Of Future Past scene, which is awesome but what in the world does it have to do with Spider-Man? Marvel is known for it's extra scenes for the movie you just watched, not a extra preview scene for another film all together. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for X-Men but I don't understand the point of this scene on following this film.

Trust me when I say, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 is truly AMAZING. Swing on over to your local theater and check out what the buzz on the web is all about.

5 out of 5 stars for this film!
