The Transformers are back again. If
you are wondering what they are doing after they discovered their
secret history on Earth and fought an ancient enemy from their
homeworld in the previous movies, don't worry. They found another
one.
The definite highlight of the movie
was Sir Edmund Burton, played by Anthony Hopkins. Not only is he a
key to advancing the story, he also provides some great humor. There
is also a great dynamic between him and his butler, who happens to be
a Transformer (you'll have to watch and see that one).
Michael Bay was at the helm again for
this installment. Who else could add so many explosions to a
medieval battle? That's not to say the movie isn't entertaining. It
just lacks a solid flow through the story. They tried to add too
many elements to connect it through human history as well as the
previous movies. In fact, the attempt to connect it with the first
one conflicts with the history shown in that movie.
If they would aim to make the
Transformers movies the fun action adventures they could be, instead
of attempting to make them mysteries, I think they would find more
success. What do you think?
