Despicable Me 2 Review

Everyone's favorite yellow Minions return along side Gru and his daughters in 'Despicable Me 2'. Reminding all of us to take the time to laugh and trust me this movie will make you laugh a million times over.

Not only does this movie have non-stop laughs, it has a great story as well. We find out what happened after the end of the first 'Despicable Me', as well as finding out what will happen in the future. The things you have to ask yourself is could Gru be a true hero? Does he make a good father? What will he do next?

By far some of the best 3D I've ever seen. It uses a lot of cheap 3D tricks and it works, I think the Minions are to thank for a lot of the 3D fun. The special effects and animation detail are epic and really make the movie pop! On the note of the 3D, most of the action scenes really jump off the screen in this film and another key part of the 3D is the Minions as you will see.

Steve Carell does it again as Gru, everyone's favorite former villain. The voices that Steve can do are what makes him so wonderful in this role and what makes Gru so fun to watch. Miranda Cosgrove returns as Margo, the oldest out of Gru's three daughters. She is strong and brings that into her character which makes her even better when working with other cast members like Steve.

Now Elsie Fisher is the voice of Agnes the youngest of the three, I think what makes her character a great part of this film is the fact that she is very much like Gru and never passes up a joke and she just calls it like she sees it. Next we have the middle daughter, Edith voiced by Dana Gaier. This girl is never scared of danger which can make Gru and Margo go crazy time to time. I think the best part of about Dana is her one liners in the film.

Kristen Wiig joins the cast again only this time as Lucy (In Despicable Me, Kristen did the voice of Miss Hattie), the happy tone in her voice really brings this character to life. Over all the best part about this cast is how much they each get into their roles and the story.

Now as great as the humans in this film are, we all know others really steal the show. I am talking about the Banana loving Minions. Even Gru knows he would be lost without them, so would we. The Minions bring so much fun to the big screen and make us laugh til our insides hurt (in a good way). I look forward to hopefully seeing more of these guys on the big screen. Just a note make sure to stay for the credits.
