In the classic movie trilogy, Back to
the Future, Doc and Marty travel way into the future. 30 years to
be exact, to the day October 21, 2015. Last Thursday, the future
arrived and Essex Cinema & T-Rex theater marked the occasion with
a marathon of all 3 movies. With a crowd of at least 200 fans in
attendance, there was a lot of excitement in the air. Some
excitement was easy to see.
There were a number of “Back to the
Future” logo shirts, 80s nostalgic shirts, and even some full on
costumes. One young pint size set of Marty and Doc were certainly a
crowd favorite. Another pair of fans that drew a lot of attention.
They were dressed as Doc and Marty from the 2015 segment of “Back
to the Future Part 2” in very elaborate costumes. All the way down
to very well made facsimiles of the powered-lace Nikes. By the way,
Nike officially released the real thing yesterday, which means the
shoes managed to slide it under the wire to make the list of things
the movie got right.
Essex Cinemas & T-Rex Theater did
a great job putting on the marathon. We look forward to more events
there.

so make it a good one.” -Doc Brown
